So in reality, every one of my summers has included some great literature. One year it was The Pearl. Last year after a trip to Monterey I read Cannery Row.
<Larahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17395699574182189503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37037092.post-48436658152102454842007-06-01T13:31:00.000-06:002007-06-01T13:31:00.000-06:00"I just read The Smell of Sin in a day. Not light reading, but very, very good!!

I'll have to check out Emily's chick lit collection too!Llama Mommahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07354122767693691797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37037092.post-15478099545320012422007-06-01T09:57:00.000-06:002007-06-01T09:57:00.000-06:00I just read The Smell of Sin in a day. The last good fiction I read was the trilogy of Kristin Lavransdatter. That stayed with me for a long time.L.L. Pretty good.

I really enjoy Sophie Kinsela, Jane Green, and Anna Maxted. I have a lot of chick lit books if you are interested in borrowing some. I am slightly addicted. More intellectual reading, but still good fiction, anything by Louise Erdrich. Probably my favorite author.hellolittlepeepershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14488812411605861730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37037092.post-4209452821259615162007-05-31T15:43:00.000-06:002007-05-31T15:43:00.000-06:00That sounds fine at first, but let me tell you abo...That sounds fine at first, but let me tell you about a friend of mine. He set his brain down momentarily, just to rest it, but immediately forgot where he placed it! Oh, it was so tragic.Craver Viihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12882284402568264182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37037092.post-4144486896690126862007-05-31T12:40:00.000-06:002007-05-31T12:40:00.000-06:00I too "rest my brain" in the summer and read stric...I too "rest my brain" in the summer and read strictly for enjoyment not necesarily to "learn" something. I had a summer where I read most of the Francine Rivers books sitting by the pool while the boys played. That was great. Last summer was a Ted Dekker summer, I never read (Christain)science fiction stuff before but it was good. I was surprised by how much I liked his books. Let me know if you Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
